I hope someone can help me with this problem.

I have a Dell windows ME based desktop system, model 4300. I had downloadedd
AVG
anti-virus and
it had been scanning my system at 5 am every morning. when I came down to the
office last Monday, I noticed the AVG screen still up. Evidently what happened
was that AVG found a virus as it has Bios revision A02 under the Dell logo,
(which I hadn't noticed previously) then a black screen lingered for a few
minuted. I then got this message:
"NO BOOT DEVICE AVAILABLE, STRIKE F1 TO RETRY BOOT, F2 FOR SETUP
UTILITY"
Nothing happens when i try F1, but F2 brings up the setup utility which reads:

SYSTEM TIME....................................13:05:51
SYSTEM DATE....................................SAT. APR 23, 2005

I ran a home based business for 11 years and all of my IRS info is in this
computer. I also
have other necessary files locked in there.
I just got a Mac, and I am writing this with it. I don't know if my files can
be transferred or
even saved. I would like to be able to get the Dell up and runniing regardless.
I hope you can make heads or tails of this because I can't

Thanks for any assistance you can offer
