There has been a lot of discussion on this topic, I haven't read it all but I
assume the power management settings are correct and the laptop isn't just
saving power or hibernating after a certain period of time? To check go to:
Control panel--> Display--> Screen Saver--> Power, there are 3 settings under
Power Schemes: Turn Off Monitor, Turn Off Hard Disks and System Standby. Under
the Hibernate tab there are other settings
