I am going to call them today..They will probably tell me to drop dead, but 
it is worth a try..I didn't know you could create a backup of the original 
cd..how do you do that/what do you use?..seems like excellent protection..I 
have 2 other boxes of xp pro but I thought they were all encoded with a 
serial number and had to be used only on the original system install..just 
tell me how and I will try..--Phyllis
