Hi Donk and Group...

First off, Thanks to Donk for his last response.
Due to various reasons I am just now getting back
to the Outlook situation.

I tried changing the XP theme and it had no effect
on the Office Suite/Outlook. I have checked to see
if there are any options within the Outlook
program, itself and find nothing. I am running a
legit version of Outlook 2002-SP3. While I was
looking I seem to have messed up something which
now causes the following message anytime I try to
click on a link, website or email address
contained in the message portion of an email. I
get the following error message. I went to the
link at Microsoft and checked the content.
However, I don't have a "Windows and Buttons" list
option, at least where I could find it. Of course
we all realize that Windows isn't the most
intuitive sometimes.

" This Operation Has Been Cancelled Due to
restrictions in effect on this Computer. Please
contact your System Administrator".

When this message appears I forward the subject
eMail to my personal account on Gmail and the
links work just fine. As far as the operating
system is concerned, I am running XP-Home, version
2002 - SP3 and logged on as the System
Administrator. I have run the Office Repair
function and it makes no difference. I scanned the
files in the Office/Outlook directory looking for
any recent dates on the files and found nothing. I
have also tried shutting down my Trend-Micro
Titanium program and checked to see if the Windows
Security is off. Windows Security is turned off
and there is no difference with the Trend program
being either off or on.

I have lost the small amount of hair left on this
old guys head and am totally frustrated. One
friend said, "Change to Thunderbird". I fear that
I would not be able to handle the conversion and
the new format, plus trying to input my many rules
and accounts.

Anyone willing to try to point me in the right
direction?

Thanks and wishing you all a happy Labor Day
weekend.

Mark

I'm pretty sure that if you change XP's theme, it
will carry over into
your office applications too? (I'm assuming you
are running XP).

In Control Panel click the Appearance and Themes
category. Then click
Change the Computer's Theme.

Also, there are a lot of 3rd party themes for
Office 2003, but be
careful where you download them from because some
will likely come
bundled with adware, toolbars, etc.
Here's a free package from Microsoft called
Nunavut. It has several
embedded themes for XP (which I think carry over
into Office). It'll be
safe since it comes directly from MS.

Also check out this site that has some
instructions to change Office
themes you can try:

Good luck,
Donk
