I need to get my head around the whole JSON model as well, certainly a new way of coding (compared to the old "state" method I am used to). I have done my fair share of AJAX work (in conjunction with 4D / A4D) but I know that JSON is a new beast as well.
JSON is not a big deal. But it does embody a new model, in that you are not generating HTML on the server but returning data to Javascript on the client which then generates HTML.
So, if you had to do it all over again, would you still recommend going with ExtJS?
Only if you essentially have unlimited time and budget, and the client is completely bought into it.
