Emily: Ohio State has a Whistleblower<http://hr.osu.edu/public/documents/policy/policy140.pdf> policy prohibiting individuals from interfering with making protected disclosures and from retaliation for having made a protected disclosure or for having refused an illegal order as defined in the policy. Additionally, the Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Harassment, and Relationship Violence<http://hr.osu.edu/public/documents/policy/policy115.pdf> and Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Non-Discrimination/Harassment<http://hr.osu.edu/public/documents/policy/policy110.pdf> policies also have sections addressing retaliation.
Hopefully this is helpful! Christie [The Ohio State University] Christie Frankart Assistant Compliance Director Office of University Compliance and Integrity 1534 N. It seems retaliation is linked to specific types of accusations of wrong-doing and resulting workplace investigations, so the issue could be addressed in the related policies (e.g., grievance, discipline, anti-harassment/discrimination) or one could have a comprehensive anti-retaliation policy that covers all retaliation. I'd be grateful for feedback on which approach your institution has chosen, or other options that might be out there.
