At Memorial University, we have three policies with sections that address
Retaliation. These are:
o Protected Disclosure<http://www.mun.ca/policy/site/policy.php?id=108>
o Sexual Harassment<http://www.mun.ca/policy/site/policy.php?id=192>
o Respectful Workplace<http://www.mun.ca/policy/site/policy.php?id=269>
Hope this helps

At the other U of M in the Big 10, we also have a number of campus-wide
policies that include an anti-retaliation clause, including:

Discrimination and Harassment<http://spg.umich.edu/policy/201.89-1>

Sexual Harassment<http://spg.umich.edu/policy/201.89-0>

Grievance Procedure and Dispute Resolution<http://spg.umich.edu/policy/201.08>

Integrity of Scholarship and Procedures for Investigating Allegations of
Misconduct<http://spg.umich.edu/policy/303.03>

The Compliance Resource Center website, which provides a comprehensive overview
of institutional compliance and resources, provides information about
whistleblower reporting and protection<http://compliance.umich.edu/report.html>
as well as anti-retaliation language. The university also makes available an
Anonymous Tip Line which anyone concerned about possible retaliation can use to
report a problem or incident.

Hi Emily,
At the U of M, we've taken the approach of including anti-retaliation language
in several of our policies. Here are the those policy links:

Dear ACUPA members,
Does your institution have an Anti-retaliation Policy? It seems retaliation is
linked to specific types of accusations of wrong-doing and resulting workplace
investigations, so the issue could be addressed in the related policies (e.g.,
grievance, discipline, anti-harassment/discrimination) or one could have a
comprehensive anti-retaliation policy that covers all retaliation. I’d be
grateful for feedback on which approach your institution has chosen, or other
options that might be out there.

Thanks,
Emily Wood
