Overheating is also an issue with the Canon 7D but you only get a warning signal, it won't switch off. But recording is limited to 12 minutes per take anyway.
Overheating is not an issue for the Panasonic cams but the PAL versions have a 30 minute limite, the NTSC version doesn't have a limit and can record 3 hours or more per take depending on size of memory card. I believe the Panasonic GH2 is the only proper video-camcorder in a DSLR body, this cam has everything that normal video camcorders have including auto-focus and push-focus, live histogram, zebra, manual audio control and optical image stabilizer. I also don't think that the Sony A55 is full HD, but 720p.
