How many dreams happen in one night of sleep? Hom many dream characters come and go in each one of those dreams?
Each of them has a purpose according their desires and fears. What is the significance or substance of the purpose of all the dream characters in one dream when that dream is over and the next dream begins? Do the dream characters in dream number two even know about or care about what the purpose or accomplishments of the dream characters in dream one were? What about when the dreamer awakens altogether from dreaming and all the dreams and purposes and accomplishments are completely forgotten? What is the significance of the purpose of any or all of those characters that have been forgotten? With investigation, can it be denied that this waking dream is any different in substance or transience than any sleeping dream? Can it logically or reasonably be asserted that this waking dream character's purpose is any more significant or substantial than any forgotten dream character's purpose? If there is any meaningful purpose, it would be to awaken to one's True Nature, and from the dream, thus seeing that there is no meaning to life. Meaning of the dream purpose is like the wind that arises and disappears back into space. >From nothingness the cyclone appears and creates all kinds of chaos and then disappears back into the nothingness again. Nothing can do so many things. What is the purpose of nothing that appears and disappears? >From another perspective. If one has awakened to one's True Nature, life can seem to become meaningful by the Self helping the Self in awakening itself to itself, Self rejoicing in Self-bliss, but this is really also only illusion. As Self really only has one taste, whether it is tasting ignorance or bliss, it is still tasting only Self. The conscious recognition aspect of Self-awareness is the difference in experience, but it is still only dream experience nonetheless.
