Great post Youwho, I love the way you dance with words. Only to add my spin onto the clarity of this, our great and glorious picture. “can it be denied that this waking dream is any different in substance or transience than any sleeping dream? In opinion. Yes, there is a difference. In this waking dream I can Google. Or put another way, my human logic and reason dominates the whispering voice of my inner self, immortal soul. In my deam dreams I can fly, move objects with my mind. In my dream dreams I know I can wake up. Some times I have been caught in the transition and although I can see my bedroom and have conscious awareness of my bedroom I can-not move my body from it’s sleep state. Very strange and yet for me, this proves “I am” is the witness of self. As the self flows through conscious awareness it encounters change. It encounters thought, memory, faith, hope, love and fear. This “I am” witness observes these conditions, it then decides to react or ignore. The witness “I am” uses conscious awareness like a vessel. I am not my legs or arms, I am not my mind or my emotions. I am not my dreams or the circumstance of my surroundings. And yet they are all the only way “I am” can associate and struggle with self happiness. “but it is still only dream experience nonetheless.” Is a dream something? Is an experience something? We have been trained from very early age to think and behave as consumers. This subliminal indoctrination has even penetrated our approach to understanding the profound inner self. We approach spiritually, Advaita, Self and Purpose from a consumer’s view. Maybe the overall purpose is not a benefit or profit. Maybe this whole universe was created with all it’s fundamental laws and introspective reflections of infinity, simply to grow and die for no overall difference to the original emptiness without form. To journey. We can- not know and should not demand to know. All we have to work with is now. Right now I am the witness of Marcus and it’s a beautiful day. Tonight we will make pancakes for Shrove Tuesday and watch the news on television, that's my real dream now. Knowing thy self. Is to see the futility in trying to know anything more than the self. “The kingdom of God is within you” this is the realisation that now is the only place where all your hopes and dreams can happen. When the inner self is allowed to surface in the now then the universe, your co-created universe is everything you ever wanted it to be. Purpose or no purpose, duality or non-duality it’ up to you. With such a choice, lets choose the promotion of sunshine and rainbows happiness as this days purpose. Why not, when the difference is you ……………….. .
