We have been using the AF5XHD as well. I'm happy with it as a PTP platform,
but in a lot of our areas we are running 2 foot dishes for even the shorter
hops to achieve the SNR for 1024QAM. It's kicking ass though, and these
links probably should have been bigger dishes to begin with so it is what
it is.

Highlights are mostly that now 256Q(8x) has a effective output power of
21db-22db, compared to the 18db on a good day of the original 5X. I think
1024Q (10x) is now more like 18db-19db now which is a huge improvement
compared to the original 5X. It has helped quite a few of the links we have
replaced.
