My folks were in on EMS coming to illinois, my mom was one of the first 
instructors. I spent a lot of my time at the hospital in tow while she was 
doing classes. I remember one doctor always had a cigar in his mouth. Even when 
he was treating me in the ER for some of my many mishaps.
