I cured my A1C once about 8 years ago. Got kudos from the DR and slowly it has been rising ever since since I backed of my strict avoidance of mostly snacks. Still avoiding potatoes, rice, pasta, bread etc but the added candy type snacks and eating some bread scootched it back up over 7. So back on the training routine until I get it under 6.
I have read of I think crisper or stem cell modifications that allow a isle of langerhorns type of cell to be created in a pancreas of a type 1 diabetic. I believe they called it cure. I have heard of pancreas transplants too. Quick google yielded this: While stem cell therapy has yet to cure type 1 diabetes, there are documented cases where patients have gone years without needing insulin injections. Some clinical trials are using cord blood stem cells specifically to treat diabetes. Not diabetic but my daughter is Type 1 and has been since first grade. This cannot be cured. It is directly related to the pancreas insulin production being attacked by the body. I use the word ‘cured’ because Type 1 is a truly an incurable disease. If you are dieting to control A1C, and not using insulin, it sounds like you are Type 2. While doctors (and the internet) will ‘argue’ Type 2 is not curable the facts remain its almost always a direct result of bad health habits. ( I.e., diet and exercise ) Certain populations are genetically prone to Type 2, but it all goes back to the same problem. Kids are also increasing becoming juvenile Type 2 due to the same bad health habits adults take. Keto will only be a short-term fix until you truly change your lifestyle. If you change your lifestyle you can reverse (put in remission) any symptoms of being Type 2 and not worry about A1C. A1C out of control will tear your body down slowly over time creating damage you cannot fix. For the record, I am not practicing the preaching. Pasta, breakfast cereals, snack cakes etc. Fruits are much less of a problem. He says everyone is so different that for one person to actually live in a state of ketosis they need to consume 10 grams or less carbs per day while another would be at 100 grams. I am not necessarily striving for ketosis. But I want my fricking A1C down to normal levels. If I have to have my feet cut off, I sure as hell don’t want it to be because I ate too many carbs. Right now im on the ham sandwiches and chips diet, because I have ham sandwiches and chips. I equal out the bread carbs by flushing my system with mountain dew and vape pods. I do supplement with compressed stress and hate, really beeps the blood vessels stretched for maximum elasticity and blood flow to the pins and needles in the extremeties. I actually did look into keto, cause I eat the shit out of meat, I could live without bread as long as I keep the butter, but the lack of sugar, even naturals killed me, I grow fruit because I like fresh fruit, and I will die early before I give that up On Tue, Jul 26, 2022 at 12:24 AM Chuck McCown via AF <[email protected]> wrote: Where we are going we dont need spaceships… Sent from my iPhone On Jul 25, 2022, at 11:13 PM, Jan-GAMs <[email protected]> wrote: So when are they getting on that spaceship to Kolob? They give you the crunch and good flavor. Pizza, I just eat the toppings off with a fork. Another thing if you can get your DR to prescribe Ozampic, Trulicity or the other new one, those do wonders to a1c and if worked right you can get them without being diabetic. I know how to get it back into the 5s. It is very easy. Just will take some time. This time around I am doing almost a carnivore version of keto. ( I don’t really like meat.) Unexpected and nice result is that my BP is lower than when I was in my 20s. Hope it stays that way, will really help out the next time I have to get my DOT or airmans medical. -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com NOTICE OF CONFIDENTIALITY This communication, including any attachments, is intended only for the use of the addressee(s) to this email and is confidential.
