My wife swears that it is all simple math. Judging from her recovery from pregnancies I have to say she has it down. You MUST count all calories. She measures her food, measures her beer (we have a small scale in the kitchen for weighing portions. She has to work out for an extra 30 minutes to be able to drink a strong beer, because the calories don't fit into her diet unless she burns enough exercising to allow her to drink said beer. I can tell you that counting every single calorie in and every single calorie burned through exercise works like crazy. I am so glad that I have a high metabolism and don't have to worry about it....yet. Healthy food, limited calories, and exercise.
