Quick, perhaps enigmatic comment. It would be nice to see the odd roboticist like you start to realise that the basis of a general intelligence/ general OS is a body -

i.e that general instructions must/can only be framed in terms of a body - in the form of telling the body to move towards a goal. There are no general disembodied commands or activity. We do not think, for example, in the abstract - we are always following commands to "use your head".

I gave up my OS project years ago in utter frustration. =( (couldn't
find enough documentation on the current iteration of the PC
architecture AND enough documentation on the toolchains required to
bring up a new OS, which involves linker scripts (book came out after I
gave up), and a bunch of arcana(sp?) that most developers get through
their whole careers never knowing...

I might still be able to find the design document, if anyone cares... =P
