There is some evidence that hardware development will reach a level where this is no longer problem but even that does not mean that we are finally reaching the stage where advanced AGI will become feasible. But this is not a bad thing because we definitely do not want to replace ourselves. This group is really a fringe group because the problem is too difficult to for anyone to solve right now and most of us are not actively working on the kinds of things that we talk about. I have to admit that I am not that impressed with Ben Goertzel's "experienced, "professional" AGI researchers," because they just have not solved the kinds of problems that need to be solved. There are definitely some messages which have nothing or very little to do with AGI and they should be moderated.
