Er, -you- can investigate theft in your imaginary retail establishment. If it is severe enough you can, for example, install cameras and review them. Chargeback is, in theory, about an unauthorized or fraudulent charge. That is also part of "investigate" - you would be able to talk to your card broker about it directly, through an actual 800 number with actual people. Google provides none of that.
