If you do not want to share some risk, you will never get a custom build dev phone. No one else will be willing to go through this much trouble to build a small batch customized phone just for developers. Am I the only one believing by end of 2009 there will be too many models on the market to develop for; and developers need a cheap reliable generic device for every programmer and QA? A device that you can burn in different images of your own?
Did I ask any one for money? I am asking for developer's preferences now to build the dev phone first. If you don't like a dev phone, fine; but I am not naive enough to believe people like Mike Quinn are willing to pay a dime. Good lesson for me, maybe people like you will buy the phone then call the credit card company to dispute the charge. Why am I causing myself this much risk by working for this group of virtual friends?
