You're mixing Android source code and Google source code.
The Android source code is available on the android.com web site.
The Google source code is not, and I never one of anyone requesting
the source of gmail or youtube just because they are free to use.
As for the hardware, it's the same issue with any Linux OS trying to
get hardware vendors to open source their drivers.
