I don't go to the IO events for the food or the free toys. It's the entire experience I find to be fantastic. I'll admit that I'm a fanboy and that may be part of it. I enjoy seeing the people I converse with on the forums, the Googlers I've known over the years and to be present when they announce new things. That's enough for me. Besides, how many major events does Google put on each year? The answer is one.
