If you are in contact with them just tell them to download the "Sendlog" app (or others like it) and have them send you the logs. I've found that to be extremely effective in diagnosing problems that are particular to a device or OS version. For me though, since the 2.2+ updates have been out, the number of crash complaints has dropped to nearly zero.
