It probably is not working due to other issues. I.e out of memory, too many apps in phone, old version of iphone, maybe something you assumed would be true for all desires, or just general buggines of OS. Or maybe they are runing into a new bug you don't know about.
I've gotten this type of message too unfortunately no way to help them without acess to the logs.
