Although I don't know him personally, from what I have seen of his replies
on this list and elsewhere,  and from using his app for quite a while; I am
somewhat comfortable in saying that both the person and product are top
notch.

This really depends on how the ban is handled.  There is certainly chance
of backlash, but it is up to the developer to decide to take that risk, imo.

Sometimes some customers cannot be pleased no matter what you do.  There
are times where it appears I have just gotten off on the wrong foot with an
EU and there is no fixing that I can see.  I think that is the sort of
situation this thread deals with... just fyi.

  Even Verizon reps have given me the cold shoulder in the past when they
decided I wasn't worth dealing with anymore. They lost me as a customer,
but (to my dissatisfaction) that loss and my subsequent grumbling in my
then fairly popular* pol/humour blog did not put them out of buisness

*fairly popular being around a few hundred unique visitors per day that
clicked on more than one internal link ... so no, maybe not actually
"fairly" popular... but we all have to have our little lies to make us
smile :-)  / =-O
