There is also a very good free IMAP provider at http://www.telebot.com,
aka http://www.telebot.net.  With this provider you can use IMAP both
for sending and receiving mail.  Works with Arachne, but you might need to
use a Winblows machine to do your initial signup.  Telebot used to offer
web-based email too, but alas, no more.  As for doing email, now you can use
it for IMAP only.  BTW, Telebot will give you also a free fax number and a
free voice-mail number, but they are not toll-free numbers.  Frequently the
servers are busy and hard to access.  The really nice thing about the service
is that you can use Arachne.
