Maybe, but just to test wether it's memory or connection trouble: try
telnet.exe. In fact it should work when you enter miniterm, epppd and
telnet from the dos prompt without redirecting the output to ppp.log, since
telnet automatically starts sending bootp's (arachne.bat would then act as
if offline, but core.exe -r should connect if bootp is activated in
arachne.cfg).
Do you use different modems on both systems?
