Jeff, this is likely a problem due to EPPPD.exe not finding your modem - 
even tho miniterm just used it !! :(((

Not your fault. but getting tired of suggesting the following which should
really be taken care of by Arachne:

In your Arachne.cfg you will probably find a line that says:
Base Default
Change it to: (according to your modem com#)
Base 0x3F8    (for com 1)
Base 0x2F8    (for com 2)
Base 0x3E8    (for com 3)
Base 0x2E8    (for com 4)

If that doesn't fix the problem (which is probably due to a "hole" in the
bios comm list) you will have to either:
Move your modem to a lower comm # so you have a continuous list (like 1,2,3)
OR run a piece of software every time you boot up that fixes the "hole".

This software used to be available at zoomtel or zoomtech but I can't
find a working link anymore so I have ATTACHED it.
