I did follow a lot of links. And I dug further than that. And I found
one thing that could put Arachne head & shoulders above every other DOS
'html capable' software program out there:

NetTamer is *still* the only one which support NewsGroup access!

And NetT is *NOT* usable on a LAN hookup, or even an "existing
connection" ...

Michael, are you listening??

I have absolutely no intention of downloading messages [or dirty
pictures] from 99.999999% of the 60,000+ ngs that are in existance. But
there are a few I would like to be able to follow again, in the 'admin'
area, and I'd like to be able to link to Linux groups too. [I tried
everything I could to get the DOS 'linux' to boot; it says it booted,
but it's not. So I'm back to square 1 ..]

With www taking up so much time on so many computers, people who've
never been there, and/or people who haven't been there in quite some
time, are missing out on the potential for a LOT of support in thousands
of areas ... not the least of which involve use/development of software.

I really would like to have access to the ngs again .... :~<
