Your post re: Sociology was right on, and the comments in the other post
regarding poverty are important but don't apply to this case.
This case is either a power struggle motivated by a belief system or,
more likely, just the belief system by itself.
That's why you can't win, and it seems you can't fix it either.

I'm not so sure about this comment, Or. Built into the belief system
is the idea that we are bad. How many actually hold the beliefs to be
true and how many PRETEND to subscribe to these ideas out of fear for
their own lives is unknown.
