What does your config say about the floating licenses ?
What if you made the default if ldap not found 2.. will that mess you up ? do you have unregistered (read licensed) only folks. or can you do that after hours.. for testing.. create another account for yourself with a floating.. and login/out a ton. would that help narrow it down..
