I certainly wanted to beat the old Motorola Q's when we tried to get activesync 
working...  
 
I find ASSP with a program like IMFtune is great protection for Exchange.  Our 
Exchange hosting has taken off lately so there's obviously a market for it.  
Its less reliable then say Postfix or Qmail, but that's my problem not my 
clients'

I use both ASSP and Exchange 2007 and both live in harmony. Exchange didnt cost 
me $8000 either!! I paid $1000 for software and then $50 per user. Cant beat it 
if you want to sync to Windows Mobile smarthphones.
 
Just my 50 cents worth :)
