Having a 24 bit 192kHz Burr Brown DAC I would think the Rotel processor would be worth a listen using the digital output from the Squeezebox. It would be practically the same as using a separate DAC.
If you don't care for the sound good you could return it and try the Transporter's analog output, using the 'direct' or DSP bypass mode on the processor, but I wouldn't think it would be worth the extra money if you were planning to use the digital output into a HT processor.
