Marco, to answer your primary question (and not scientifically, just my personal opinion): For your benefit, I play several files (jazz and rock, quiet and loud) through my system in both WAV and FLAC versions and hear no difference or get any different "feeling". This is true through my TRANSPORTER (analog out to preamp>>amp), my BOOM, or my SB3 (3 different systems) or my SB3 through a BENCHMARK DAC > preamp>>amp. So in terms of asking whether any of us "hear" any differences in playback across WAV and FLAC files, I can say, no, I hear no differences whatsoever.
