The testimonials come thick and fast! I guess I did not speak to
the right people. I will say however, that up until this point my experience
with Garmin was good also. Easy to use, reliable and good advice from the
Garmin agent.
I will be contacting Garmin regarding my problem and judging their
response. If their response is as good as you and Simon received I will
post a glowing report and testimonial for all to read.
PS One of our techies here suggested installing new batteries and
warming the unit up to near its published maximum operating temperature
(70 c) for a few days. What do the technically minded think of this
procedure?
