Nice to see somebody is thinking.
What is wrong with a logbook endorsement for competency for
competition flying? Saves a fair bit of paperwork and surely is just
as acceptable to the insurance company. Most of powered aviation uses
logbook endorsements for all sorts of things. On which point - this
is the problem with insurance. Apparently the insurance company is
dictating policy.
As for proof of nationality, surely the applicant for a record can be
expected to supply some proof of nationality for "National" records
if any body still cares about this? This is distinct from Australian
records which should surely be records flown in Australia by anybody.
I don't care if they are Australians, Americans, Martians etc.
