Yep, my models retain materials, even when I invert normals to make a room. No tweaking necessary for me. Don't know about animations because from what I've read you need to load keyframes of your model into the animator class in away3d to make it move. I also think that the model needs to have the same number of vertices in each keyframe as well. Didn't seem terribly practical for anything complex so I've stuck to using away3d classes and functions for animating my models and objects. Then again, I'm a relative beginner so I'm probably just missing something ;)
