Ok, if I export a 3ds file and then import it in prefab, normals are ok.
Let me see if I manage to import uvw-s coordinates too....

I think is a bug from max not quite sure..
yep a new document in max and import your allready exported car, you
need to find out wether is the exporter or the max file corrupt.
I think is the max file but not sure share a copy if you want i'll
take a look

I've already tried the Normal modifier with no results =\
I'm using max 2010
What do you mean with new document? I open a new one and import there
the models I've done in the other?

I'll give you feedback

Make sure you do triangulate prior to export.
There must be an option in Max that makes the faces normals visible. You then
eventually need to reverse some of them, if they point
to the wrong direction.

Hi everyone,
I've made a model in 3D MAX and it looks like this:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4064417/Car3ds.JPG
I then export it in DAE format and import it in Prefab and getting
this strange normals behaviour:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4064417/CarPrefab.JPG
it seems like all the normals are flipped...
does anybody knows why it happens and how to avoid it?
Thank you in advance
