Here's the marriage record. (I had to do a double take as well because of the
"Domingas" name).

Sabina's mom is listed as a single woman in the marriage record, but oddly, it
lists the father's name.

So another question would be…

Would Sabina's father have had to make her legitimized in the church in order
to appear later or do you think he just ended up admitting that he was the
father later?

I think on the CCA website contains records of legitimizations.

Subject: [AZORES-Genealogy] Help with a record

Hi everyone,

I have a record for an ancestor named Sabina. At the time of her birth, her
father isn't listed only her mother Domingas is listed (her father is later
named in Sabina's , marriage record). What i would like to know is if anyone
can make out what the word/name is listed directly after Domingas' father's
first surname/middle name.

He is listed as Antonio de Sousa _______.

Can anyone help make that last name out?

Altino
