That sure was an interesting record. Kudos to the collaboration of

That is a big relief Margaret.

In that time, i'm sure that there was a big stigma attached to being a
single mother. It takes two to create a child, yet in those times, women
were bore the brunt of the talk and looks that would follow them if they
ended up single and pregnant. It's nice to know that Sabina's father stood
up to acknowledge her as his. (That cannot have been easy as he was married
to another woman at the time).

That's the great thing about doing genealogy, you come across information
that gives you a glimpse into the lives of people who have passed and cannot
tell us anymore about themselves or the time that they lived in.

Cheri, Domingas is the mom. Weird I know... You don't see a lot of women
with that name.

Hi everyone,

I have a record for an ancestor named Sabina. At the time of her birth, her
father isn't listed only her mother Domingas is listed (her father is later
named in Sabina's , marriage record). What i would like to know is if anyone
can make out what the word/name is listed directly after Domingas' father's
first surname/middle name.

He is listed as Antonio de Sousa _______.

Can anyone help make that last name out?
