You do not yet know if your Manuel Machado is the ONLY one in the village or if your Manuel Machado is one of 2, 3, or 4 Manuel Machados. And yes, there could be two Manuel Machados married to Maria Whomevers If you collect ALL the kids checking for the dad being Manuel Machado, you're going to get a feel for the village and then you will know if there at two Manuel Machados married to two Maria do Rosarios (or whatever her name was).
