As it happens, I share your belief in Jesus, but I have to second what
Yigal says. There are other forums for discussing our faith.

As for the New Testament "name" statements you mentioned, the original
meaning, based on both Hebrew/Aramaic which forms their background and
Greek usage, corresponds more to "person", "character/nature",
etc., rather than "name" in the English sense of what we call someone.

Feel free to write me off-list if you want to discuss this further.
