The Baha'i Studies Listserv Dear Susan, I may understand wrong as my english is sometimes too much "commercial" and not so precised to speak about spiritual questions! Do you mean that some laws have been revealed by Bahaullah only to the Iranian believers? Or were they revealed for all humanity but taken "secret" (I'd be very surprised by this!) to the Eastern believers for the moment? Or not translated to keep them not easily accessible to people other than Iranians?...
Other subject, yes arranged wedding are still very usuals in India, I don't know specialy into the Bahai community. I've been there a few years ago and the firsts questions Indian people ask are always "Your name? Your country? Married? Arranged marriage?" :-) To my point of view, Indian can be proud of their honesty, as we are always so proud of our modernity and women freedom, but the sort of financial and/or cultural arrangement are still the base of the majority of weddings, in France, Europe, US, and all the so called "modern" world! Bahai spirit have still a lot of way to open this in the mind of all humans including ourselves!
