I, too, have had this happen with users traveling to different time
zones in the US by air.  Battery pull usually works.

There is an app that simulates a battery pull and can be set to
automatically run every night.  It tends to clear out memory as well.
Forgot my handheld at home today, so I don't remember the exact name.
