I think it is a mistake to change the profile.ijs definition of ~home as this comes directly from system definitions.

You can easily provide your own definition for ~user without messing with ~home.

I will try to clean up these various rough edges and improve the documentation on these issues in the next beta.

Can't you make a shortcut to this directory and drop it
wherever you find convenient?

I don't have any problem making the current version conform to my
desires, I'm just trying to help make the installation as trouble-free
as possible for potential new users. IMO a lot of that comes down to J
behaving like other applications.

In my case I just moved the J602-user folder to D:\j602-user (my "My
Documents" folder is relocated there) and then redefined "hom" in
profile.ijs to 'd:'.
