Or am I missing something in what > you're saying? Maybe you're missing something, but more likely I'm misunderstanding what the setting does.
Let's take an example. In one of my holiday compilations I have Louis Armstrong's "'Zat You Santa Claus?". The tags include [Artist=Louis Armstrong], [Album=Christmas 1988], and [Genre=Holiday]. It's identified as a compilation album. I also have other Louis Armstrong albums that are not compilations, and all the tracks have [Artist=Louis Armstrong] and [Genre=Jazz]. Now if I *don't* filter genres at album and track level, I would expect to end up with the other, non-holiday, Satchmo tracks being displayed even though I was browsing under the Holiday genre. What I don't understand is why compilation albums where *none* of the artists have *any* tracks with Genre=Holiday are showing up when I browse by genre under Holiday. What is the connection that makes the "8 Mile" soundtrack show up when browsing the Holiday genre? As an aside, I have not been filtering tracks or albums by genre because sometimes it's fun to follow an artists "trail" that picks up the range of different styles or genres that she/he plays, or are badly categorized by my genre tags. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41143 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
