One last comment: it does seem odd, from a user perspective (as opposed to from a relational db perspective) that the listing logic of VA + ALBUMARTIST + "foreign" genre can return albums with no tracks. At least one user interface, iPeng, interprets that as a loss of server connectivity and displays an error message.
