>Quick Q.: is this your understanding of how LMS _does_ work, or how it
>_should_ work?

My understanding is that LMS will currently:

a) use the Compilation tag value if present
b) use the AA if tag is present
c) if no Compilation tag, and songs have different artists, set Compilation=1.
d) if no AA tag, and songs have different artists, set AA=VA
e) otherwise no AA.

i.e. AA won't necessarily be set to VA if Compilation=1 tag. The AA tag value
will always be used if present (a), or calculated (d) or not set (e).

e.g. "Queen Greatest Hits" could be tagged as a compilation album, but would
still appear as being an album by Queen (all tracks by same artist).
e.g. "Love Actually Soundtrack" could be tagged as a compilation album by album
artist "Soundtrack" and it would be presented as album artists "Soundtrack",
not "Various Artists".

Note: I think there is still a bug that if an album is marked in the database
as a compilation, and then then tags are changed such that it isn't a
compilation and a scan for updated content is performed, compilation indicator
is still set to 1.
