KC, if you have a transplant, you have your original classic
braille cells. That's what the transplant was, putting our old
cells into the new machine. Only if you bought a new mPower
would you have the newer braille cells.

Subject: [Braillenote] Braille cells on the M-Power QT Display
Hello everyone, this is KC Spear.
As some of you know, when using my BN M-Power, I rely entirely on
braille. I know some of you use both braille and speech.
Logically, you don't use your braille display for reading and
editing as much as I do.
My point is that, with the BN Classic, I only had to ask for
1-cell replacemnt. That was done in 2005, when I sent the BN in
for a "Transplant." I'm going to need to send the M-Power
back, because several cells are missing dots. Has anyone else
experienced a problem with the M-Power cells? (I admit to being
surprised, because I understood these cells are supposedly better
than the ones in the Classic.)
KC
