Hi guys
Having a problem with my machine. Three years old this last December.
I've been renovating my kitchen the last 3 months and haven't used the
Brewtus in that time. So, finally hooked it back up after flushing the
boilers and a good cleaning. I have it set as usual to 95 degrees with
a 7 degree offset. Everything seems fine as usual. I roasted up some
Vivace Dolce (my usual) and was getting sour grassy shots. Let it rest
for 3 days and tried again and same result. So, thought for some
reason it was my beans and went down to Vivace and picked up some
fresh roasted from them and dialed my grinder in and proceeded to go
through 1/2 pound with the same sour results. Puzzled, I got out my
thermocouple (duh) and stuck it in a double walled stainless steel cup
and filled it with water out of the group and the temp read 81 degrees
even though my temp guage on the Brewtus read 95 degrees.
Any ideas as to the problem?
