Well as promised an update.

I changed the processor and pressure stat. Sent to me by ZCafe one at
a time as requested by phone. After doing so front boiler still just
climbed without shutting off. End result is ZCafe is sending me a new
machine. An I mean right away not even waiting for the return of the
old one.

With service like that what can I say? Any Canadians looking for
equipment I would definitely look at ZCafe.

Good luck all, and enjoy reading all posts here thank you all.

John,

Sounds like a positive outcome and experience. I have dealt with Zcafe
for minor service issues, and found them to be very good. Good luck
with the repair.

Well, my dealer is now sending me a new hose, pressurestat and computer. I
actually like this instead of sending the machine. If it does not fix it
will be shipping. He says the heater element will be fine, but is adding
another year to the warranty just in case.

i own a B1 w the factory pid upgrade and rotary pump/main line feed.
last week i arose to brew my morning coffee to see my pid was also
reading 245 or so. i could barely operate the brew lever the water was
so hot. my machine is on a timer, and works flawlessly every morn. my
steam boiler was not over pressured, tho. i think after flushing down
the temp somewhat, i left the machine off to completely cool down.
later on, the thing worked okay, and has since then. BUT, what is going
on, TODD? -Dennis

   " Hello,
This morning I was woken to a frightful bang as my Expobar IV tank
over-pressured. I came down stairs to it venting. All the cups on the
top of the machine had been blown off so I imagine the tank ruptured.
It was leaking water everywhere, had a strong smell of burning and
showed a pressure of over 2 bars on the boiler (upper gauge, and it
had been venting a few minutes). Should be noted steam in the gauge. I
shut it down, opened the hot water tap to relieve pressure. After
doing so I turned it back on noted that the PID showed a temperature
of 245 F (I keep it at 202 F) and it started to leak as soon as the
pump began to fill the tank.
I figure as the machine is new I am best not even opening it and start
poking around, and messing with the warranty. I do have the original
box as stated in your red carpet warranty.
Awaiting your response as to how we may deal with this clearly
defective machine. A real shock as I have woken to expecting a perfect
cup of espresso every morning now.
   All the best
   John. "
