@judge I'd like to clarify a few of the comments you made.

I have a "plumbed in" IV-R which I love. No problems whatsoever in
about 1 year of ownership.

I use reverse osmosis water in an 11L container which is on a small
shelf below the Brewtus. No need to actually plumb it in. Just drop
the input water line into the jug.
I drain into a 4L pastic milk jug that is on the same shelf. All
pretty compact, easy to set up and move, if required.

The drain tray needs almost no cleaning whatsoever. I think I've only
cleaned it once and that was because I accidentally dumped a puck
through the grate.

I don't know about sound volume. I'd say the pump is pretty loud,
actually. Much louder than I anticipated. But I haven't heard the
vibration pump so I can't compare.

I'm sure all types of Brewtus IV will make equally good coffee and
steam. And, with a good grinder, the expresso really is very, very
good. I have no hesitation in recommending this machine.
